A few weeks ago, I posted a trip report for hiking to the Nautilus in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.  In that post, I couldn’t possibly include all of the amazing photographs that I took, not of the Nautilus itself, but of the surrounding rocks and canyons.  So guess what?  You get an ultra-special Anne’s Travels Edition with photos from around the Nautilus!

Enjoy!

I did take a photo from beyond the Nautilus…

As well as a photo or two from the Nautilus itself.

But I spent most of my time exploring a canyon on the right just before I got to the Nautilus.

And there were a lot of stripes on the right (if you’re walking upcanyon) on my way back to the parking area!

I’m sure there were more things to discover, but we wanted to check out Round Valley Draw before the day was out!
