The Very Best of Anne’s Travels in 2025!

Five hikers in gray, orange, pink, and blue shirts look at the scenery of rugged mountains with clouds in the blue sky
Cirque of Towers Overlook – one of the very besst hikes for Anne’s Travels (and family) in 2025!

It’s the end of 2025! How did we get here so fast? But what a good year it has been, too! Before we get down to business, I’m wishing a great 2026 for every one of you.

Easily the most popular photo from Anne’s Travels on social media this year… the Jack Rabbit historic roller coaster at Seabreeze Amusement Park, New York

I mentioned that it was a good year for me, so here are a few stats:

I visited or drove through 25 unique states (75 cumulative states)

I traveled out of state every month this year, except February and June, and I planned out of state travel for immediate family members in both of those months

I crossed-country skied 32.13 miles this year (pretty close to accurate)

I hiked 488 miles this year (a low-ball estimate – that’s similar in length to hiking the Colorado Trail, only I didn’t have to carry a sleeping bag)

I biked 1,287 miles this year (more or less – think biking from Columbus, Ohio, to Denver, Colorado, or from San Diego, California, to Seattle, Washington).

Anne’s Travels had 54,000 visitors from 159 countries. Not too shabby!

Each year, I like to look at my stats and see what 10 (or so) posts were the top performers. So here are the internet’s favorites for 2025!
