It’s the end of 2025! How did we get here so fast? But what a good year it has been, too! Before we get down to business, I’m wishing a great 2026 for every one of you.

I mentioned that it was a good year for me, so here are a few stats:
I visited or drove through 25 unique states (75 cumulative states)
I traveled out of state every month this year, except February and June, and I planned out of state travel for immediate family members in both of those months
I crossed-country skied 32.13 miles this year (pretty close to accurate)
I hiked 488 miles this year (a low-ball estimate – that’s similar in length to hiking the Colorado Trail, only I didn’t have to carry a sleeping bag)
I biked 1,287 miles this year (more or less – think biking from Columbus, Ohio, to Denver, Colorado, or from San Diego, California, to Seattle, Washington).
Anne’s Travels had 54,000 visitors from 159 countries. Not too shabby!

Each year, I like to look at my stats and see what 10 (or so) posts were the top performers. So here are the internet’s favorites for 2025!
The top 10 overall pages on Anne’s travels were:
Out of State Learner’s Permits
Buttermilk Falls in Mendham, New Jersey
12 Bible Verses for Cyclists & Mountain Bikers
5 Easy Camping Meals made on a Backpacking Stove
Gear Review – Garmin GPSMAP 67i Hiking GPS
10 Best (and worst) Day Hikes in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument

Climbing to the Golden Trout Lakes (North Fork)
The Very Best of Anne’s Travels, Published in 2025
The top 10 overall pages are pretty consistent from year to year (though this list has more variation than previous years), so I thought I’d also give you a look at the top 10 pages published in 2025. Enjoy!
Climbing to the Golden Trout Lakes (North Fork)
Exploring Goblin Valley: Valleys 1, 2, and 3!
The Best Day Hikes in the Sawtooth Mountains!
60 Questions to Ask God while Journaling or Hearing God’s Voice
This post was so popular that I published a physical journal with these (and a few other) questions in it.
Visiting False Kiva (after the Closure)
Finding Butch Cassidy’s Cabin at Robber’s Roost
How to See the Fiery Furnace – Without a Permit
Which National Park Pass Should I Buy?

Next year? I have a few (not entirely solid) ideas, including a possible trip to southern Utah. Beyond that… well… you get to be surprised along with me.
Happy New Year!
