The Top Posts on Anne’s Travels in 2022!

It’s the beginning of 2023!  I had so many surprising adventures in 2022; things that I had never dreamed about seriously suddenly sprang into being at unexpected moments.  Highlights of the year included visiting two new (to me!) national parks in the eastern US in August, chasing waterfalls in Pennsylvania in September, relaxing at the beach in North Carolina in October, and taking a very cold and very beautiful trip to the Maze District of Canyonlands in November.  Talk about a beautifully packed fall!

As usual, the top-performing posts on Anne’s Travels are fairly consistent from last year with a few notable exceptions: Driver’s Permit Laws, Hiking Hairstyles, The Best Day Hikes in the Wind River Range, visiting the King of Wings, Bible Verses for Hikers (a new one), States with 85 vs. 87 Octane Gas, The Best Hikes in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, etc.  Since these are typical from year to year, I’ll be detailing below the most popular pages on Anne’s Travels in 2022 – but only the ones I published in the last 18 months.  Enjoy!

The Frank Ruggles I Knew

Santanoni Peak

My very first Adirondack 46er was a crazy one!  The “trail” was little more than a rock scramble route with mud between the rocks.  The views were pretty good from the top even if it was cloudy.  Find the trail guide to Santanoni Peak.
